Serge Bouffard is a retired research director at the CEA and currently serves as a municipal advisor in Bretteville sur Odon since 2014. They held the position of president at Nucleopolis from 2013 to 2018 and are an active member of the board of directors at CAEN Normandie Développement. With a significant background in scientific leadership, Serge directed the Accelerator Network for the Studies of Materials under Irradiation from 2010 to 2019 and contributed as a scientific officer at the Haut Conseil de l'évaluation de la recherche et de l'enseignement supérieur from 2019 to 2020. Serge earned a PhD in Sciences from Université Paris Sud and holds an engineering degree from Arts et Métiers ParisTech, along with a Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies from the Institut National des Sciences et Techniques Nucléaires.
