Michael Melan

Michael Melan is currently a Principal at Civil and Environmental Consultants (CEC), where they focus on civil and environmental services across the U.S. They have decades of experience in engineering and operations, having held significant roles at major solid waste companies. Previously, Michael served as Project Manager and Construction Manager at Cornerstone Environmental Group, LLC, and as Environmental Manager at Republic Services. Additionally, from 1988 to 2012, they worked at Waste Management, Inc., managing extensive capital projects related to landfill operations. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography with an Urban Planning emphasis from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
