George Wildeman is a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with extensive experience in the technology and semiconductor sectors. Currently serving as Founder-in-Residence, DeepTech at the Center for Entrepreneurial Development since February 2025, George provides expert advisory services to hardtech entrepreneurs. From 2018 to 2024, George was the Chief Executive Officer of SWIR Vision Systems, successfully leading the startup through commercialization and acquisition by OnSemi. Additional roles include serving on the Board of Advisors for Smart Material Solutions and as an Executive Mentor-in-Residence at Duke University. George's previous experience at Leica Microsystems, Bioptigen, and Corning Incorporated includes leading business development and product management efforts, resulting in significant revenue growth and strategic partnerships. George holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and additional qualifications from The Wharton School and Thunderbird School of Global Management.
