Kate Mcleod is the Business Director at Cedar Communications, and has over 5 years of experience in digital marketing. Prior to their current role, Kate was the Senior Account Director at Cedar Communications, where they led seasonal multi-channel campaigns and was responsible for overall governance and growth for the following channels: Tesco social media (Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and Tesco magazine. Before that, Kate was the Digital Marketing Manager at 24.com, where they were responsible for the marketing of Careers24.com and News24.com, South Africa’s biggest online news and career sites. During their time at 24.com, Kate found new audiences and grew online businesses through integrated initiatives, and was also responsible for the performance of online marketing, namely display, retargeting, mobile marketing, CRM and analytics. Kate has also built and expanded relationships with external partners, publishers and traffic sources during their time in digital marketing.
Kate McLeod has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cape Town in Film, Politics, Writing and Print Production. Kate also has a certificate from the Ogilvy Digital Marketing Academy in Digital Marketing Essentials. In addition, Kate has a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing and Advertising Communications Management from the Red & Yellow Creative School of Business. Kate's high school education was at Herschel Girls School where they studied Maths, English, Afrikaans, German, Art, and Drama. Kate also has a Diploma in Nutrition from Shaw Academy and a Diploma in Life Coach from Peter King Coaching & Consulting.
