Matt Aven

Matt Aven is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in investment management and operations. Currently serving as Vice Chairman at Cedar Pine, a private investment firm focused on strategic, long-term assets since December 2021, Matt also holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at SBB Research Group, an investment management firm based in Chicago, since February 2011. Prior to these roles, Matt has held various positions including Director of Operations at GFI Group and Director of Product Development at Hitachi High Technologies America. Matt's career began in technical sales and business development roles, and Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan, earned between 1992 and 1996.
