Dave Hinz

Dave Hinz, CSP, CHST, is an experienced safety professional currently serving as the Safety Manager for the City of Cedar Rapids since October 2024. Prior to this role, Dave held various leadership positions including Director of Safety and Safety Manager at Carbon America, Corporate Safety Manager and Director at Alvarado Construction Inc., and Senior Safety Manager at RK. Additionally, Dave has served as the District Safety Manager at TIC Denver, Area Safety Manager at Kiewit, Safety Manager at Aerotek, and Safety Supervisor at UGL UNICCO. Early career experience includes Project Superintendent at Weitz Industrial and Project Manager at Newell Machinery Co., Inc. Dave holds a degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University.
