Maggie Nelson

Margaret (Mara) Nelson, PMP, serves as the Public Works Coordinator and Paving for Progress Project Coordinator at the City of Cedar Rapids since March 2022. Previously, Mara held positions at Toubl Contracting, Inc. as Regional Office Manager and Office Manager, and at Cargill as an Environmental Professional and Project Engineer, where responsibilities included the development of environmental strategies and engineering deliverables. Prior experience includes roles at Andersen Corporation as a Contract Engineer and Product Development Intern, as well as various undergraduate research and teaching assistant positions at the University of Minnesota. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics at The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, Mara holds a Bachelor of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
