Iraklis Pliakis

Iraklis Pliakis is an expert in qualifications and credentials at Cedefop, where they have worked since 2017 in the Department for VET and qualifications. Iraklis manages projects on National Qualifications Frameworks (NQFs) and focuses on research areas such as Microcredentials for labor market education and the transparency of learning outcomes. They hold a PhD in Didactics of Economics from the University of Macedonia, and prior to Cedefop, Iraklis served as an advisor to the Deputy Minister of Education in Greece, as well as teaching in secondary and tertiary education. Their academic background also includes a Master's degree in International Business and Economic Integration from the University of Reading.
