Irene Mandl

Irene Mandl is the Head of Department for VET and Qualifications at Cedefop since 2025, bringing extensive experience in policy-oriented socio-economic research. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of Research Unit Employment at the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions and as a Research Manager at Eurofound, focusing on employment and labor market topics. Irene also held positions as a Senior Researcher at KMU Forschung Austria and a Lecturer at FH Wien. They possess multiple master's degrees in areas including international business administration and individual and collective labor law.
