Catherine Chan

Catherine Chan is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in journalism and media management. Currently serving as Media Manager at Clean Energy Finance Corporation since March 2021, Catherine previously held positions including Journalist at South China Morning Post from 2014 to 2019, Media Adviser at NSW Trade & Investment - Mineral Resources from 2012 to 2014, and Coal Analyst at Energy Publishing. Freelance journalism work includes contributions related to China for both South China Morning Post and The Lowy Institute for International Policy. Catherine's earlier roles also include Legal Officer and Consultant at CVDT Consulting and Business Analyst at CRS Australia. Academically, Catherine holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of International Studies with Honours from UNSW, along with studies at Beijing Language and Culture University and Yunnan Normal University.
