Christophe Séné

Christophe Séné, PhD, Ir., serves as the EMEA Director of Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs at Elkem ASA since September 2021, leading people management, budget oversight, and strategy development. In addition to this role, Christophe has been involved in academia since January 2013, teaching on sustainability, regulatory compliance, and environmental law. Active in multiple professional associations, Christophe is a member of UKELA's Wild Law group, a longstanding member and chair at France Chimie, and has held various roles at Cefic, including chairing committees related to surfactants, sustainability, and bio-based products since 2004. As a convenor for ISO/TC-91 on surfactants and chair of CEN/TC-276, Christophe has played a crucial role in standardization efforts. Earlier experience includes a global advisory position at Stepan Company focusing on regulatory affairs and sustainability, with extensive participation in trade associations. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Sciences from the University of East Anglia and diplomas in management and environmental management from Université catholique de Louvain and Ichec Brussels Management School, respectively.
