Mark O'Brien

Mark O'Brien is a seasoned professional in the fields of geology and software management, currently serving as Software Portfolio Manager for Geoscience at Cegal since January 2008. With extensive experience in geological modeling and technical sales, Mark has held various roles including Reservoir Geologist and Technical Account Manager, focusing on global business development and account management within the oil and gas sector. Mark's expertise encompasses geological, geophysical, and data management solutions, along with proficiency in Schlumberger’s Petrel platform and Cegal’s Blueback software portfolio. Previous positions include roles at Roxar Ltd, ExxonMobil, Landmark Graphics, and Venture Information Management. Mark holds an MSc in Petroleum Sedimentology from the University of Reading, completed in 2000.
