Brian Laughlin is currently the 5G Technology Leader for Micromax(TM) at Celanese since November 2022. Prior to this role, Brian served as Principal Investigator and Technical/R&D supervisor for MCM Advanced Materials at DuPont from December 2006 to October 2022, where responsibilities included developing technical strategies, advancing scientific knowledge, and creating product pipelines. Brian has also held positions as a Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist at NC State University, where contributions included serving on the External Advisory Board for the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. Earlier roles include Research Assistant at North Carolina State University and positions at IBM Microelectronics and Intel as a TEM/FIB Microscopist and Process Engineer, respectively. Brian earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, along with an MS and BS from North Carolina State University.
