Craig Smith

Craig Smith is an experienced engineer with a robust background in applications and development within the elastomer and plastics industry. Currently serving as a Senior Applications and Development Engineer at Celanese since November 2021, Craig specializes in customer development and troubleshooting for Santoprene elastomer products. Prior to this role, Craig spent over two decades at ExxonMobil as a Senior Applications Technical Development Engineer, contributing similarly to elastomer applications and plastic processes. Craig began his career at BASF as a Technical Service Representative, focusing on Elastollan TPU products in the Midwest region. Craig holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Technologies from Eastern Michigan University and completed high school at Southgate Anderson.
