Luis Benavides

Luis Benavides is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in quality management and process chemistry. Currently serving as Plant Quality Director and Process Specialist at Celanese since April 2012, Luis focuses on quality management at the site level, emulsion polymer reactor scale-ups, and product development. Previous roles at Celanese include Process Chemist, Laboratory Supervisor, and Senior QC Analyst, where responsibilities included data capture and batch management. Prior to Celanese, Luis worked as a Clinical Pathology Specialist at ITR Canada and as a Laboratory Assistant at Concordia University, gaining valuable experience in data review and laboratory support. Luis holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a specialization in Biochemistry from Concordia University and has completed several safety and technical training programs.
