Michael Bland

Michael Bland is an experienced Occupational Safety and Health professional with a robust background in safety management across various industries. Currently serving as the Occupational Safety & Contractor Safety Management Program Owner at Celanese since May 2021, Michael previously held the role of Regional Environmental Health & Safety Manager at Brown & Root Industrial Services, overseeing safety at twelve petrochemical sites. Michael's experience includes managing safety programs as Health and Safety Manager for Chicago Bridge & Iron, and founding Global Frontline Solutions LLC, where fire and environmental management plans were developed. Earlier career roles include serving as a Fire & Aviation Management Officer with the National Park Service and as Assistant Fire Management Officer with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, focusing on wildfire management and safety oversight. Michael's educational background includes studies at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and training at the New Mexico Firefighter Training Academy.
