Thorsten Fleck has over two decades of experience in the field of control systems and process automation. Currently serving as SMEs for Control Systems at Celanese since May 2001, Thorsten focuses on strategic alignment and life cycle planning of the installed Distributed Control System (DCS) at the site, alongside managing service contracts and coordinating external resources. Previous roles include Process Automation Leader, DCS Project Lead Engineer, and Automation Engineer. Thorsten holds a degree as a State Certified Engineer in Instrumentation and Control Technology from the College of Professional Education and Training in Weilburg, completed from 1994 to 1996.
