Michael Zhou has worked in the software engineering field since 2010. From 2010 to 2011, they were a Counselor, Teaching Assistant, and Technical Assistant at the Research Science Institute. From 2011 to 2014, they were an Undergraduate Researcher and Teaching Assistant at Duke University. During the summers of 2012, 2013, and 2014, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Google, where they introduced ECMAScript 2015 support to Closure Compiler, added partial TypeScript support to Closure Compiler, improved Closure Compiler's ECMAScript 2015 support, and used GWT to build Closure Compiler as a JavaScript application with no Java dependency. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Graduate Student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Since 2018, they have been a Software Engineer at Celer Network.
Michael Zhou received their Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) from Duke University in 2014, where they studied Computer Science and Electrical & Computer Engineering. Michael then went on to receive their Master of Science (SM) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2016, with a focus on Computer Science.
