Merlin van Gelder

Merlin Van Gelder has a strong background in finance and accounting with over 30 years of experience. Merlin has held various leadership roles in well-established companies throughout their career.

Starting in 1980, Merlin worked as a Supervisor of Financial Reporting at Petro-Lewis Corp for five years. Merlin then moved on to Baxter Healthcare in 1986, where they became the Manager of Financial Reporting and Control for the International division. In this role, they were responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.

In 1990, Merlin joined Mallinckrodt as the V.P. of Finance for the Animal Health Division. Merlin managed all finance activities, including tax, treasury, financial reporting, and cash management. Merlin was also part of the Executive Management Team involved in strategic planning and day-to-day management.

In 1997, Merlin joined Fort Dodge Animal Health as the Finance Director for EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). Merlin held this position for over 12 years, until 2010. During their time at Fort Dodge, they played a key role in overseeing financial operations in the region.

Most recently, Merlin worked at Celerion as the Global Controller, starting in 2011. In this role, they managed external relationships with banks, auditors, and insurance companies. Merlin was responsible for ensuring financial statements were in accordance with GAAP and delivering management reporting and key company metrics to the Executive Management Team.

Merlin Van Gelder completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Colorado Denver from the year 1976 to 1979.
