Mitra Ziainia has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of clinical research, quality control, and project management. They most recently served as a Clinical Study Manager at Celerion, starting in September 2021. Prior to that, from December 2017 to September 2021, they worked as a Quality Control Manager at Tech Steel & Materials. In 2017, Mitra briefly held the position of Senior Clinical Research Manager at New York University. Before that, from 2013 to 2017, they co-founded and served as the President of Blue Fox. Mitra's earlier experience includes working as a Research Associate at Columbia University from 2011 to 2013, and as a Research Project Manager and Psychometrist II at the University of Washington from 2005 to 2009. They also held the role of Senior Clinical Research Manager at the University of Washington from 2005 to 2006. Mitra's earliest position was as an Associate Research Scientist at the University of Washington from 1999 to 2004, where they were involved in various aspects of clinical research and project management in the field of Multiple Sclerosis.

Mitra Ziainia has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology & Biology from the University of Houston. Mitra then pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Studies - Middle East from the University of Washington, which they completed in 2008. Following this, Mitra furthered their education and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from Columbia University in 2011.
