Shannon Barrientos has a diverse work experience in the field of research and healthcare. Starting in 2017, they worked as a Research Intern at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 2018, they served as an International Medical Intern at Roosevelt Hospital. In 2020, they became a Bilingual COVID-19 Contact Tracer at Professional Research Consultants, Inc. Shannon then joined the University of Nebraska-Lincoln again in 2019, this time as a Research Assistant. Simultaneously, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, which they continue to do. In 2021, Shannon added new experiences to their resume. Shannon became a Medical Research Associate at Celerion and a Student Intern at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
Shannon Barrientos obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2016 to 2020. The field of study for this degree is not specified. From 2020 to 2022, Shannon attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where they earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a specialization in Epidemiology. In July 2021, Shannon obtained additional certifications, including "Group 2 Social / Behavioral Research Investigators and Key Personnel" from CITI Program and "OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens" also from CITI Program.
