James Wortman has extensive experience in commercial litigation and regulatory compliance within the finance and mortgage sectors. Starting as a Legal Intern at the World Intellectual Property Organization in 2003, James earned a Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2004. At Locke Lord LLP, from 2004 to 2009, James represented diverse corporate clients in complex commercial disputes and advised banking institutions on regulatory compliance. Moving to Quilling, Selander, Lownds, Winslett & Moser, P.C. from 2009 to 2010, James specialized in financial institution and insurance litigation. Following this, James held various senior roles at Caliber Home Loans until 2021, focusing on regulatory compliance and operational management. As Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Rushmore Loan Management Services LLC from 2021 to 2022, responsibilities included advising on compliance, engaging with executive leadership, and managing legal matters. Currently, James serves as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Celink.
