Sonali Joshi has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sonali worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Cell-Ed since March 2017, where they played a crucial role in providing literacy, language, and job skills to low-skilled workers worldwide using mobile technology. Before that, they founded and served as the CEO of Red Phone Society from July 2015 to March 2017, offering strategic support to nonprofits, foundations, and small businesses. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at United Way of the Bay Area for nearly a decade, overseeing marketing, data, evaluation, strategy, and innovation. Sonali also has experience in development and marketing at BAYCAT from August 2005 to August 2006. Sonali started their career as an Emerging Market Solutions Intern at Hewlett-Packard in 2004 and worked as a Strategic Planning Manager at Karsh & Hagan from 1999 to 2003.

Sonali Joshi completed their Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University, from 1995 to 1998. Later on, they pursued further education and obtained their MBA in Business from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, during the period from 2003 to 2005.
