Sonja Mihailovic

Sonja Mihailovic, PhD, currently serves as Scientist I at Cell Microsystems, where innovative methods have been developed to enhance stability and reduce heterogeneity in pluripotent stem cell differentiation into various lineages. Previously, Sonja was a Graduate Researcher and Ph.D. Candidate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, focusing on pluripotency gene dynamics during organoid development and leading data analysis projects. Additional roles include Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant and Nucleate Activator Candidate, emphasizing bio entrepreneurship and mentorship. Earlier experience at Florida State University included research technician and undergraduate research assistant positions, contributing to tumorigenesis research and gene editing projects. Sonja holds a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BS in Biology from Florida State University.
