Milos Babic

Director of Single Cell Genomics at Celldom

Milos Babic has a wide range of experience in research and development. Milos began their career in 2003 as an Assistant Scientist at Voc Technologies Voctec, where they developed a data-analysis program and assisted in developing and constructing PFGC units. From 2004 to 2008, they were a Research Scientist in Molecular Biophysics at the University of Arizona, where they developed new methods for expression and purification of proteins in E. coli. Milos then went on to pursue a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Arizona, publishing five peer-reviewed papers, creating numerous transgenic animal lines, generating novel antibodies, and adding dozens of new genetic reagents. In 2015, they joined BioSpyder Technologies as a Research Scientist III, where they established the high-throughput services pipeline and led it from its creation to independent operation. Milos then became the Director of Research, leading innovation and new assay development and writing and co-writing several funded SBIR grants. Most recently, they were appointed Director of Single Cell Genomics at Celldom, Inc. in 2022.

Milos Babic's education history includes a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Arizona (2008-2015), a M.Sc. in Molecular Biophysics from the University of Arizona (2004-2006), a B.Sc. in Chemistry:Biochemistry from Portland State University (2002-2004), and an A.S. in Computer Science from Santa Barbara City College (1998-2002).
