Alaa Rashid

Alaa (AL) Rashid has extensive experience in manufacturing operations, primarily in the biotechnology sector. Currently serving as Director of US Manufacturing Operations at Cellectis, Alaa has successfully led the Manufacturing department through multiple engineering and GMP runs, while also focusing on process demands, technical training, and resource forecasting. Prior to this role, Alaa held various positions at Biogen, including Manufacturing Operations Manager, where responsibilities spanned safety compliance, technical transfers, team development, and nurturing cross-departmental collaboration. Alaa began the career in manufacturing with hands-on roles and has also contributed as a math and science tutor at Johnston Community College. Alaa holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
