Iris Tanaka, PhD, is an accomplished Project Leader Scientist in Analytical Development - Molecular Biology at Cellectis since September 2025. Previously, Iris served as a Scientist in Molecular Biology at Depixus from November 2022 to August 2025, where innovative technologies enabled real-time analysis of biomolecular interactions. Iris has extensive experience as a Research Scientist and Post-doc at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, focusing on mRNA life-cycle kinetics in MYC-dependent cancers. Earlier experience includes a role as a Junior Research Scientist and PhD candidate at Institut Curie, exploring splicing factors related to chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer, and research internships at Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute, Pierre and Marie Curie University, and Keio University.
