Shawn Marcell is a seasoned life sciences and biotech executive with 30 years of experience leading interdisciplinary teams and driving venture creation. Currently, Shawn serves as the Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Bifrost Biosystems, a spinout from Harvard Medical School, and holds multiple advisory and board positions across various innovative companies in the life sciences sector. Shawn’s previous ventures include leading ReadCoor, SensiGen, and Metamark Genetics, all of which achieved significant exits through acquisitions. Additionally, Shawn has shared knowledge as a lecturer at The Wharton School and has been involved with several organizations aimed at advancing healthcare technologies. Currently pursuing a BA in Economics at The George Washington University, Shawn continues to influence the life sciences landscape.
