Malcolm Robertson has a diverse work experience in the field of fermentation and process development. Malcolm started their career in 2006 as a Research Associate at Verenium, where they worked until 2010. In 2010, they joined Verdezyne, Inc. as a Fermentation Scientist and held this position until 2018. In 2018, they transitioned to Sterogene Bioseparations, Inc. as a Process Development Engineer, focusing on upstream processes. Malcolm worked there until 2019. Currently, they are employed as a Fermentation Scientist at Cellibre, where they started in 2019.

Malcolm Robertson attended UC Santa Barbara from 2000 to 2005, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Psychology. During their time at the university, their studies encompassed various subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Neuroanatomy, and Biology.
