Collins Odongo has extensive work experience in software engineering. Collins started their career at Eclectics Intl. in 2013 as a Junior Software Engineer and then went on to become a Software Engineer. Collins eventually became a Senior Software Engineer before moving on to Cellulant in 2018. At Cellulant, Collins worked as a Senior Implementation Engineer, playing a crucial role in transforming the legacy platform into a new version utilized by digital banking merchants. Collins was then promoted to Lead Software Engineer, where they led a team in developing a resilient and integrated UI platform for seamless collection and processing of payments. After that, they became a Staff Software Engineer, where they guided the adoption of engineering standards for the Angular framework and developed new features on the existing Merchant Tingg UI Platform. Currently, Collins holds the position of Principal Software Engineer at Cellulant, where they are responsible for guiding the adoption of engineering standards for Javascript Frameworks, sharing knowledge, and providing mentorship to junior engineers.
Collins Odongo has a diverse education history. In 2009, they obtained their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education from Utumishi Academy. In 2012, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at KCA University, after which they also obtained a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification. In 2014, they received a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist certification from Computer Pride Kenya. Collins further expanded their knowledge in 2017 by becoming a Certified Bitcoin Professional through Coursera.
