A twist lock is defined as a standardized (rotating) connector system, for connecting and securing intermodal, and ISO-standard shipping containers. It consists of a house and a rotating shaft. Any other device is not a “twist” lock.
A twist lock is used in the transport industry to secure shipping containers to each other or to a chassis such as trucks, ships or trains ensuring safe and stable transportation of containers. This can be done manually, semi-, or fully automatically.

The Cel-Lock twist locks are designed to automatically engage and disengage with the container corner castings, allowing for efficient container handling and reducing or eliminate manual labor and increase safety.
