Dan Smith

Senior GIS Analyst/Project Manager at CEM

Dan Smith has over 25 years of experience in the field of GIS analysis and project management. Dan started their career in 1995 as a Drafter for the US Army, followed by a role as a GIS Analyst and CAD Drafter at KCI Technologies, Inc. in 1996. In 2010, Dan began working for Chesapeake Environmental Management, Inc. as a GIS Analyst I, and then held positions as a Senior GIS Analyst/Project Manager and GIS Analyst III/Project Manager.

Dan Smith obtained their AAS in Computer Aided Drafting and Design from the Community College of Baltimore County between 1993 and 1996. Dan then went on to Towson University, where they earned a BS in Geography and Environmental Planning, with a minor in GIS, between 2001 and 2005. In 2010, they obtained their GISP certification from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI). In 2021, they obtained both an ArcGIS Desktop Associate 19-001 and an ArcGIS Desktop Entry 19-001 certification from Esri.
