Cemerlang Tani Enterprise was first established on 13 December 2005 by the late Izan Ali, with humble beginnings in cow farming and palm oil cultivation. Driven by his vision to expand and professionalise the business, he later incorporated Cemerlang Tani Sdn. Bhd. on 11 January 2006.

Many family businesses in Malaysia start as an enterprise and eventually transition into a Sdn. Bhd. (private limited company) as part of business expansion. This move allows for stronger credibility, access to larger business opportunities, and a more structured governance to support long-term growth.

Over the years, the business diversified into goat and sheep farming, alongside the cultivation of dragon fruit. During the goat and sheep farming phase, Cemerlang Tani also introduced catering services, including the much-loved kambing golek.

Following the passing of the founder, the second generation of the family stepped forward to continue his legacy. The children have since focused on new areas such as lemongrass farming, while continuing to manage the family’s palm oil plantation.

To further strengthen the brand, Kebun Rahsia was introduced. Initially, Kebun Rahsia operated as a farm nursery for chickens, goats, rabbits, and other small livestock, welcoming schoolchildren and kindergarten groups for educational farm visits.

Today, Kebun Rahsia has evolved into a pioneer in the Black Soldier Fly Larvae industry, while also integrating sustainable farming practices with chickens and ducks. The brand is now primarily led by the eldest daughter, Liyana Izan, who continues to champion innovation while staying true to the family’s agricultural roots.

Together, these entities form what is now known as the Cemerlang Tani Group — a family-driven agricultural legacy that spans traditional farming, modern innovation, and a deep commitment to sustainability.
