Michael Carlson serves as the Vice President and General Manager of Concrete Products Manufacturing at CEMEX, overseeing the safe and cost-effective operations of plants in the Florida-Carolinas region since October 2007. Previously, as Vice President of Manufacturing and Health and Safety, responsibility included managing over 50 production sites in the eastern US while providing safety support for various operations. Prior experience at Rinker Materials Corporation includes serving as Director of Manufacturing from 1999 to 2007 and as a member of the Operational Improvement Team. Early in the career, Michael held the role of Operations Manager/Engineer at Rinker, focusing on process development for an alternative fuel program. Military experience includes serving as a Lieutenant in the US Army from 1989 to 1992. Education includes an MBA from the University of Miami Herbert Business School and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
