Eduardo Soares

Eduardo Soares is the Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer at CEMIG. Eduardo has over 20 years of experience as a lawyer, and has been a partner at three different law firms. Eduardo began their career at Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr. e Quiroga Advogados in 1998, where they became the head of the Energy Department. In 2008, they moved to Mayer Brown LLP as a partner. In 2011, they joined Soares Bumachar Cha as a partner. Eduardo remained there until 2017 when they joined Lefosse Advogados as a partner. Eduardo left Lefosse in 2020 to join CEMIG.

Eduardo Soares has a Bachelor's degree in Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo.

Eduardo Soares works with Daniel Faria Costa - Chief Business Development, Ronaldo Gomes de Abreu - Chief Distribution and Commercialization Officer, and Leonardo George de Magalhães - Chief Officer for Finance and Investor Relations. Eduardo Soares reports to Reynaldo Passanezi Filho, President & CEO.
