Fred Lara

Fred Lara has extensive experience in the fields of sales, customer success, and mental health services. Currently serving as a Sales Growth Specialist and previously as a Customer Success Manager at Cengage Group since April 2020, Fred also holds a longstanding position as an Adjunct Professor and Program Director for the Mental Health Services Substance Abuse Program at San Jacinto College. With previous roles including Account Relationship Manager at Gift of Recovery and Private Practice Counselor at Roads to Recovery Counseling Center, Fred has actively marketed and developed programs to support families dealing with substance abuse disorders. Fred's early career included impactful positions ranging from a Counselor at Harris County Youth Village to a Substance Abuse Counselor at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Fred earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University.
