Hal Manuel is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and management. Currently serving as Vice President of Software Engineering at Cengage Group since May 2019, Hal previously held the position of Senior Director at both Cengage Group and Cengage Learning, demonstrating a strong trajectory in leadership roles within the organization. Earlier career roles include Director of Technology at Questia Media and Senior Consultant at SSG, Ltd., along with significant engineering positions at Raytheon. Hal began a professional journey in software development at Raytheon and has cultivated a solid foundation in technical operations and project management since earning a BS in Computer Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1995.
