Jian Wei has been working in the software engineering field since 2000. Jian began their career as a System Engineer at Boke Soft Corp. in 2000, followed by a role as a System Engineer & Project Leader at Base Corp. from 2001-2003. From 2003-2005, they worked as a System Engineer & Project Manager at NEC. Jian then moved to Hewlett-Packard, where they held the role of Senior System Engineer & Project Manager from 2005-2011. From 2011-2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at Northeastern University. From 2012-2013, they worked as a Product Co-op Software Engineer at PHT Corporation, where they were involved in Java/Web development, working with many different frameworks and technologies. Finally, from 2013-2015, they worked as a Software Engineer at IBM. Jian currently holds the role of Principal Software Engineer at Centage.
Jian Wei obtained a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University between 1996 and 2000. In 2008, they obtained the IT Infrastructure Library certification. In 2006, they obtained the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test Level 1 certification. In 2002, they obtained the Sun Certified Java Programmer certification from Sun Microsystems. Between 2011 and 2013, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Information Systems from Northeastern University. Jian is currently working towards obtaining the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
