Frank Shelp

Frank Shelp, M.D., M.P.H. is the Principal at Colibrí Consulting LLC, a firm specializing in quality, program evaluation, and crisis management. They have served as the Senior Medical Director at Centene Corporation since 2015, and previously held the position of VP Medical Affairs at Coventry Health Care from 2002 to 2008. Frank was also the inaugural Commissioner of the State of Georgia's Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities from 2009 to 2012. Their educational background includes ongoing studies in Chemistry, Philosophy, and Ethics at Eastern Mennonite University, alongside a Master's in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Doctor of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University.
