Tom Nichols

Tom Nichols, MD, MBA, currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Centene Corporation since March 2022 and has been a Pediatric Hospitalist at Mayo Clinic since January 2012. Prior to these roles, Tom Nichols held the position of Chief Medical Officer at Ascension from November 2018 to March 2022, and was the Regional Medical Director of Pediatric Hospitalist Services at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin from 2004 to December 2018. Additionally, Tom Nichols was Co-Chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics' Section on Community Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine from May 2016 to July 2018. Tom Nichols earned a Master of Business Administration from Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee in 2020, a Doctor of Medicine from Rush University from 1998 to 2002, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Carthage College from 1994 to 1998.
