The Center for Workforce Solutions (CWS) is a national initiative dedicated to closing the skills gap by building scalable, industry-aligned career pathways that connect learners to high-demand careers.

We bring together employers, industry leadership groups, education providers, and credentialing organizations to design fast-track training models that meet real workforce needs. From career exploration in middle and high schools to postsecondary and adult reskilling programs, CWS works across the education-to-employment continuum.

Our process starts by convening industry leadership groups (ILGs) to identify priority career pathways. We then collaborate with Education Design Lab (EDL) to create open-source, industry-validated curriculum. Using the Higher Learning Commission’s Credential Lab, we align and certify credentials to national standards, ensuring portability across states and industries.

CWS programs are designed for rapid deployment, national scalability, and measurable outcomes—helping more Americans enter upwardly mobile careers while giving employers a reliable, job-ready talent pipeline.
