Jared Powell has seven years of work experience. In 2014, they worked as a Student Office Worker at the University of Alabama Department of Religious Studies. In 2017, they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Alabama. In 2018, they worked as a Teaching Fellow at UNC English & Comparative Literature Department, a Project Assistant at William Blake Archive, and a Contract Writer at Next Big Idea Club. In 2019, they were a REACH Fellow at the University of North Carolina Center for Global Initiatives. Jared is currently working as a Software Trainer at Centerbase since 2022.

Jared Powell obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Religious Studies from The University of Alabama in 2016. Jared then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in English Literature (British and Commonwealth) from the same university, which they completed in 2018. Currently, Powell is attending the UNC English & Comparative Literature Department, where they are pursuing a Master of Arts degree in English Literature (British and Commonwealth).
