Christian Barte

Christian Barte has extensive experience in the finance and management consulting field. Christian currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Wiha Werkzeuge, a position they have held since September 2019. Prior to this, they were the CEO and Managing Director at Centida since January 2015. From October 2017 to August 2019, they worked as a Principal at Horváth & Partners Management Consultants.

Christian also has a strong background in finance, particularly in business profitability analytics. Christian worked at Orange Business Services from September 2014 to September 2017, where they were responsible for running the day-to-day activities of a central profitability analytics system. Christian also played a key role in integrating major company parts into a single profitability analytics system and restructuring the business profitability analytics team.

Before joining Orange Business Services, Christian worked at Detecon International as a Partner from August 2004 to May 2010. In this role, they assisted telecommunications operators with cost accounting, planning, budgeting, and strategic supplier selection. Christian also managed projects and provided project assurance.

Christian began their career at AT&T EMEA as a Senior Finance Professional from August 2001 to August 2004. During this time, they implemented and ran a cost accounting system to calculate profitability across various regions.

Christian Barte has a diverse education history. In 1998, they attended Pforzheim University and obtained a Dipl. Betriebswirt (FH) degree in International Business Administration in 2000. Following this, in 2000-2001, they studied at ESCE International Business School, where they earned a Maîtrise degree in French foreign commerce. Christian then pursued further education by enrolling at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management from 2007 to 2009, where they completed an EMBA in Business Administration.

In 2011-2012, Christian returned to ESCP Business School and participated in the France Telecom Group Business School Excellence Program, focusing on Financial Controlling. Christian returned to ESCP Business School once again in 2016 to complete another program within the France Telecom Group Business School Excellence Program, specializing in Finance and Leadership.

Christian has also obtained additional certifications. In November 2018, they completed the course "Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy" at MIT Sloan School of Management. In July 2019, they received a certification in "Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI" from edX.
