Surinderpal Singh

Surinderpal Singh belongs to Central Secretariat Services (CIVIL SERVICES EXAM-1991). He initially joined in Department of Post, M/o Communication as a Desk Officer (Finance-1) from Dec-1994 to Mar-1995 and dealt with financial viabilities of different policies and projects of the department. He served in department of Telecommunication from March-1995 to September-2000 and dealt with matter related to establishment and administration. He served as Under Secretary (Security) in Ministry of Home affairs from September-2002 to june-2007.During this stint he dealt with various sensitive security matters including VIP Security. From June-2007 to 2017 he was on deputation to State Government of Punjab where he worked in the office of Chief Minister/Deputy CM Punjab, as OSD and Special Secretary. After State deputation he joined as Director in Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance in March-2017 where he got promoted to the post of Joint Secretary. During his posting in Ministry of Finance he dealt with matters related to Gold Policy, Gold Monetization Scheme, Foreign Trade related issues, Financial Services and Investment related issues of Foreign Trade Agreements among others. Now he is working as Joint Secretary in Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology since March-2021 and handling various matters including Parliament related work, Cabinet Notes, APCTT matters, Public Grievances, Monitoring and Evaluation of DSIR Schemes etc.
