Robert Rocha is a retired Fire Chief with 40 years of experience in public safety, having begun their career in 1982 at the Kansas City Kansas Fire Department and concluding as Fire Chief of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, in January 2023. They were responsible for overseeing a 446-member department and the Office of Emergency Management, playing a critical role during crises such as Hurricane Harvey and the Tule Lake Fire. Elected as President of the Metropolitan Fire Chiefs Association, Robert lectured internationally on crisis management and was recognized by Texas Governor Greg Abbott for implementing a model vaccination program for homebound seniors during the COVID crisis. Currently, they serve on the Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Committee and oversee safety and security at the Education Service Center - Region 2.
