Elsa Charbit is a seasoned artistic director specializing in film festivals, currently serving as the Chargée de développement de la Cinémathèque idéale des banlieues du monde at Centre Pompidou since 2024. From 2019 to 2022, they held the role of Directrice artistique at the Festival International du Film de Belfort, where they curated films and managed various aspects of festival operations. Elsa was also the Déléguée générale for the Festival du cinéma de Brive from 2014 to 2019 and worked at the Cinémathèque française in action culturelle and production from 2005 to 2015. They hold a Master's degree in History and a Licentiate degree in Cinema from Université Panthéon Sorbonne. Currently, Elsa is a member of the selection committee for Quinzaine des Cinéastes / Directors' Fortnight.
