Stefan Maier

Stefan Maier is a seasoned data science professional with a robust background in demand forecasting and superconductors. Currently serving as Principal Data Scientist at Centric Software since February 2025, Stefan previously held the position of Data Science Domain Lead at Schwarz IT KG from November 2023 to January 2025. Stefan's experience includes significant roles at Blue Yonder, where responsibilities spanned from coordinating architectural decisions to managing a team of data engineers and scientists. Earlier career milestones include positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Cologne, and a Research Assistant at RWTH Aachen University, focusing on computational methods for high-temperature superconductors. Stefan earned a PhD from RWTH Aachen University, an MS from The University of New Mexico, and a Physics Diploma from Ulm University.
