Aleksei Mashlakov

Aleksei Mashlakov, PhD, currently serves as the Research and Innovation Manager and Technical Lead at Centrica since March 2022, where responsibilities include planning technical roadmaps and developing Python tools for dispatch algorithms. Previously, Aleksei worked as a Research Engineer at Centrica, focusing on online control algorithms and simulation environments. Prior experience includes a researcher position at LUT University, where Aleksei applied machine learning for optimizing battery scheduling and forecasting challenges. As a Visiting Researcher at the University of Leeds, efforts were directed towards decentralized optimization for network-oriented prosumer management. An early internship at Schneider Electric involved redesigning major updates for PRM portals in industrial automation. Aleksei holds a Doctor of Science (Technology) degree from LUT University, along with master's degrees from LUT University and Moscow Power Engineering Institute, and a bachelor's degree from the same institution.
