Andrew Thompson is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the energy and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Core Platform for the New Energy Platform at Centrica, Andrew leads a skilled engineering team in developing a digital-first energy brand. Prior roles at Centrica include Head of Engineering for British Gas X and Senior Solution Architect in Innovation and Emerging Technologies, where Andrew focused on driving IT solutions that leverage modern technologies. Earlier positions at British Gas and Eli Lilly involved architecture leadership in smart metering, business solutions, and technology integration. Andrew holds a BSc in Software Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University and completed SAP training in 2009.
