Ted Parker has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Ted started their career as the President of GalaxSea Cruises in 1996 and held the position until 2000. From 2000 to 2001, they worked as the VP of Strategic Development at iTravel. In 2001, they moved on to become the Vice President and General Counsel at travelbyus.com, where they stayed until 2002. In the same year, Ted joined Centriq Training as the VP of Sales and Marketing, overseeing all sales and marketing functions for both the corporate I.T. training division and the TechSmart KC individual I.T. division. In 2008, they joined the Kansas City Sports Commission, serving as a member of the Kansas City Marathon Race Committee until 2012.

Ted Parker attended Vanderbilt University from 1973 to 1977, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration/Economics. Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at the SMU Dedman School of Law from 1977 to 1980, earning a Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
